Upon activation
While dictionaries are being activated, ABBYY does not collect any personal user data, and the user remains fully anonymous.
ABBYY Lingvo x3 activation wizard creates a unique parameter, Product ID, based on computer configuration data at the moment of activation. This parameter does not include any personal user data or information about the PC model, software products installed, user settings, or data stored on the PC. Upon activation, the ABBYY server receives the serial number, product name, version number, and interface language of ABBYY Lingvo x3 in addition to the Product ID. This information is used exclusively to choose correctly the language and contents of the activation report and will not be used for any other purpose.
Upon registration
ABBYY pledges not to disclose or transfer any personal data or contact details received from the user upon registration to any third parties without the user’s consent.
This information may be used by employees of ABBYY Group to keep users informed about new products, price changes, and special offers, and only if the user consents to receive such information from ABBYY by checking the relevant option during registration.
By submitting the registration form you voluntarily report your personal data to us, thereby expressing your consent to this personal data being collected, processed and used on the conditions of nondisclosure and in accordance with the laws applicable under the Licence Agreement. Personal data reported by you will be used within ABBYY Group only, and will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law.
